Plot Summary: A letter from an old friend sends Jessica Fletcher to a luxury island hotel in the Caribbean, where she arrives in time only to investigate the sender's murder. The motive is apparently a jewellery theft, the police are unhelpful and a long list of suspects includes a teacher celebrating winning a holiday competition she doesn't recall entering, the strange hotel manager, and a one-time skiing celebrity who knew the victim's secret.
